Biography

Sarah graduated from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama, magna cum laude, in 1997 with a Bachelor's degree and from the Paul M. Hebert School of Law of Louisiana State University in 2000 with her Juris Doctorate.

 

Sarah is married to Scot Dorger, and they have two children. Sarah serves on the Board of Directors for Hands on South Alabama (formerly known as Volunteer Mobile), a local nonprofit agency that recruits volunteers for the community's needs. She also is a 2009 graduate of Leadership Mobile, an organization of business and community leaders. Further, she has served on the Greater Gulf State Fair Leadership Council.

 

Sarah was recently featured in the Mobile Chamber of Commerce’s monthly publication “The Business View” for her status as a Bedsole Scholar, a local scholarship fund which helps send area students to in state schools and encourages those students to stay in Alabama when they graduate. Sarah’s role as a Bedsole Scholar is featured in the article found in the October 2008 Business View.

Experience

Sarah became licensed to practice law in Alabama in 2000 and in Louisiana and Florida in 2001. Sarah has practiced in Mobile since 2000 where she has litigated many complex civil cases, including cases involving intensive document production and has also been involved with serious personal injury cases.

 

Sarah has tried cases in both state and federal courts, representing plaintiffs and defense, both jury and non-jury matters. She also has extensive experience at the appellate level, both through writing appellate briefs and other extraordinary writs before the appellate courts of Alabama. Sarah's current practice concentrates on defending civil litigation in complex business disputes and representing corporate and individual clients, both as plaintiffs and defendants.
